Nursery 0 to 2 years (Green Room)
Unhurried care routines with safe sleep and sensory rich play. Babies explore with songs, stories and outdoor time while building secure relationships with a focus educator.
Toddlers 2 to 3 years (Orange Room)
Language bursts, pretend play and early problem solving. We support big feelings with visuals and gentle coaching and build independence through simple daily jobs.
Prekindy 3 to 4 years (Pink Room)
Rich play with early literacy and numeracy, science and nature inquiry, creative arts and independence. Children practise turn taking, care for belongings and build confidence for the fundamental skills required to trnaition into the preschool room
Preschool 3 to 5 years (Blue Room)
Projects that follow questions, small group learning, and early literacy and numeracy in meaningful, playful ways. Children practise turn taking, caring for belongings and joining group times.
Children move rooms when they are ready. Transitions are gradual and planned with families.

Your child’s first day is a big and exciting step. We will greet you warmly, keep familiar routines and move at a pace that suits your child. You are welcome to stay during settling, and we will share friendly updates so you know how the day is going.

Meet the team
Chantelle Formosa is the Centre Manager at Picton and a Bachelor-qualified teacher with more than eight years in early childhood education, six of those in leadership roles. Her practice is grounded in inclusion and high expectations, ensuring each child is welcomed, heard and supported to reach their full potential. Chantelle believes strong, positive relationships are the foundation for growth, and she mentors educators to align program goals with children’s interests and family priorities.
She leads a collaborative, reflective team culture focused on continuous improvement, visible learning and warm communication with families. Under Chantelle’s leadership, the program balances open-ended play, social and emotional learning and community connections so children build confidence and independence every day.
