Our story

Next Generation Learning was created by two local businesswomen who are also mothers. Their vision was to build a five star early learning community where families feel at ease every day. That is why we provide high quality cooked meals, nappies, wipes, hats and sheets so mornings are simple and children have everything they need.

Our values

Our values guide every choice we make and shape how each day feels for children, families and our team.

Integrity

we do what we say and keep children’s safety at the centres

Curiosity

we follow children’s questions and turn small moments into big learning

Collaboration

we plan with families, colleagues and our community

Passion

we bring energy, care and pride to every room

Inclusion

every child and every family belongs here

Trusted to care, curious to learn, together with passion so everyone belongs.

Who we are

We welcome all cultures and diverse families. We listen first, adapt our approach to each family and work in true partnership.

Every child is valued, heard and included.

Our educators and leadership

Quality care starts with people who care

Our educators are skilled, caring and reflective. They build strong relationships, communicate clearly and tailor learning to each child’s strengths. We lead with a transformational style that inspires growth and continuous improvement, and invite democratic input so decisions reflect the voices of families, educators and children.

How children learn here

Children learn through play, relationships, and everyday routines. Programs are accessible for different needs and celebrate children’s interests.

Nursery 0 to 2 years

gentle care routines, safe sleep and sensory exploration

Toddlers 2 to 3 years

language bursts, big feelings coaching and early self help

Preschool 3 to 5 years

rich play with early literacy, numeracy and independence

Children move when they are ready. We plan transitions with families.

Emotional wellbeing

Emotions are part of the curriculum. You will see calming corners, movement breaks on the trampoline, social stories, floor books, flash cards and simple facial expression games. These tools help children recognise feelings, practise regulation and return to learning with confidence.

“Calm is our classroom secret.”

Safety and quality

We operate under the National Quality Framework and teach through the Early Years Learning Framework. At least one person with current first aid, emergency asthma and anaphylaxis management is always on site. All staff hold a Working With Children Check. Families can expect active supervision, clear lines of sight, allergy aware food practices, safe sleep and regular checks.

Our service is rated Meeting National Quality Standard in all seven areas. The National Quality Standard covers educational program and practice, children’s health and safety, the physical environment, staffing, relationships with children, partnerships with families and communities, and governance and leadership.

Our most recent assessment was completed in March 2024.

Community programs and sustainability

From your first visit we plan with you. We listen to family routines, culture and goals so your child feels at home and learning is meaningful. We celebrate the languages, stories and traditions you share and weave them into songs, books and projects.

Learning links to our local places. We notice children’s questions and connect them to nearby parks, shops and services so learning feels real. We acknowledge Country each day and include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives through authentic stories, art and community events. With consent, we take short local walks and excursions to libraries, parks and community events so children feel connected to place. We keep a friendly list of nearby family services and can connect you with local supports if you ask. As preschool approaches, we partner with nearby schools to share children’s strengths, build independence and make the first day feel familiar. Your insights guide us. We agree on small goals together, make learning visible with photos, stories and floor books, and check in often so we can celebrate progress side by side.

Out and about with our minibus

Our centre minibus helps children explore safely beyond the gate. We plan local excursions to parks, libraries and community events, and we make sure each trip feels calm and well prepared. Families receive clear excursion notes in advance, and we will always ask for consent.

How we keep excursions safe
1
Risk assessments completed before every outing
2
Seat restraints and correct seating for each child
3
Qualified first aid staff on board and a stocked first aid kit
4
Individual medical plans and required medication travel with the child
5
Headcounts at every transition and active supervision at all times
What this looks like

Our recycling program turns everyday items into real community impact. Families and staff collect eligible containers through the year and when we reach a set amount, we redeem them to support special projects for children and the community. It is a simple way to care for our environment and teach children about stewardship.

Easy drop off point at each centre for eligible containers
Children help sort, count and learn about recycling and waste reduction
Funds raised go back into child led projects, community donations or sustainability resources
Regular updates so families can see the difference their efforts make

“Small actions add up. A short bus ride to the library or a full box of containers becomes a lesson in caring for our community and our planet.”

Our promise

Compassionate, professional and safe early learning. Children feel seen and supported. Families feel informed and respected. Educators feel valued and prepared. From the first hello to the last wave at pick up, we want your child to be excited to come back tomorrow.
